Amped DVRConv and Engine Update 34011

Today we release the new versions of Amped Engine and Amped DVRConv, your favorite forensic batch video converters!

Hello folks and welcome to a brand new release of your favorite forensic batch converters: Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine. As always, the main focus remains on expanding support for proprietary video formats and variants with our decoding engine.

Decoding Formats

In this update of Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine we have added support for:

  • 8 new file extensions
  • 7 new variations of already-supported formats
  • 1 new timestamp format
  • 5 new variations of already-supported timestamp formats
  • 3 new variations of already-supported audio formats (dav, g64a)

Other Improvements

We have also made the following improvements:

  • The program manual has been improved.
  • Conversion procedures that require Windows 10 or later are now inhibited on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
  • Solved an issue with some videos not copying streaming to an MP4 container.
  • (DVRConv Only) The “Clear All” button now removes all information related to previously processed files.
  • (Engine only) Added a command to check online for a newer version of the software.

Don’t Delay – Update Today

If you have an active support plan you can update straight away by going into the menu About > Check for Updates within Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine. If you need to renew your SMS plan, please contact us or one of our authorized distributors. And remember that you can always manage your license and requests from the Amped Support Portal.

He has worked as a forensic video/audio analyst and ISO17025 CCTV technical lead for a number of Police forces and leading forensic providers. He is now a forensic expert and international trainer at Amped Software and continues to assist Police forces, the CPS, and criminal defense firms with the interpretation of video and audio evidence in court.
