Amped DVRConv Update 29658: New Format Variations and Timestamp Support

Reading time: 2 min

A new update of Amped DVRConv has just been released! Amped DVRConv is a forensic batch converter that will copy-stream or transcode video coming from many different sources (including proprietary CCTV) into a fully compatible and forensically sound format. The program works with an easy and effective drag and drop interface; just bring in as many videos as you like, from as many formats and variants as you like, and DVRConv will do the rest!

Our users tell us that decoding new formats and variants is what they want the most from Amped DVRConv and so in this release we have decided to concentrate our efforts on adding more support for some tricky but popular formats.

As you may know, CCTV manufacturers are always updating their formats, players and devices. Therefore, if you come across a format not supported or are unable to decode the audio or timestamp, just send it to us via the Amped Support Portal. We are here to support you and your investigations.

Improvements

We have made the following improvements:

  • the program manual (available by clicking the “Help” button) has been improved.
  • the conversion logging for some formats has been improved.

Decoding Formats

In this update of Amped DVRConv we have also added support for:

  • 2 new video variations of already supported formats (g64, mp4)
  • 1 new audio variation (g64)
  • 2 new timestamp variations (exe, H264)
