Hello everyone and welcome to the newest update of Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine. Continuing the trend previously adopted with Amped Replay, in this version we have updated the libraries employed in video conversion. We also have improved support for many formats.

Decoding Formats

We have improved support for currently compatible formats:

  • 2 new variations of already-supported formats
  • 1 new variation of already-supported timestamp formats
  • 1 new variations of already-supported audio formats

Library Update

The libraries used by Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine are used to correctly write videos after the lossless extraction of data from proprietary formats. This update ensures that newer formats are better handled and that decoding errors are minimized.

Other Improvements

Finally, we have improved the handling of problematic conversions. These are now automatically interrupted after a certain period of processing inactivity instead of causing a total system freeze. The advantage of this new feature is that the conversion queue can still progress when a conversion is interrupted automatically. In Amped DVRConv, you can set the timeout period directly by opening the Program Options. Simply enter the number of minutes after which to interrupt a stuck conversion and click Apply. Amped Engine also supports this new feature which can be set with the appropriate command line prompt.

Bugs

In this latest update, we have fixed a small bug in Amped Engine which caused conversion failure for very small input video files.

If you have an active support plan you can update straight away by going into the menu About > Check for Updates within Amped DVRConv and Amped Engine. If you need to renew your SMS plan, please contact us or one of our authorized distributors. And remember that you can always manage your license and requests from the Amped Support Portal.
