It seems like only yesterday that I was flying out to Calgary to present image processing training at the 2007 LEVA Training Conference. I was so nervous to present in front of my peers. These many years later, I’m still at it … albeit with a new employer and an entirely new set of tools.
Recently, LEVA announced the schedule for their 2016 Training Conference. Once again, I’m happy to say that I’ll be there as a presenter. I’m also happy to say that I’m bringing a bunch of friends.
As far as the training schedule goes, I’ll be presenting on Monday, November 14, 2016. I’m proud to present Amped Software products as part of the workshops on Redaction and Presentation Techniques for Body Worn Cameras and Dashcams (Amped FIVE / Axon Five) and Understanding Concepts of Image Authentication (Amped Authenticate / Axon Detect).
My colleague, David Spreadborough, will be presenting the two-day Amped FIVE (Axon Five) workshop on Thursday & Friday (November 17-18, 2016). If you’ve never seen the Spready Show, you’re in for a treat. Get your registrations in soon. These classes will fill up fast.
In addition to the workshops, we’ll be in the vendor space with our partner Axon (Taser). Martino Jerian, our CEO, will be over from Italy, and Eric Ord, our Sales Director for North America, will also be available to answer questions about our product line and to demonstrate new features. This is the perfect place for some one-on-one time with the products, to get your questions answered, and to get assistance with quotes for new purchases or renewals. You may even find Martino in any one of the workshops – or all of them.
We’re also planning some social events, including Canada D’EH, as we have done in the past. We’re also working on arranging a trip to a local Shooting Range, so plan on bringing your rifles. We’re in development on a Shooting Incident Reconstruction course featuring Amped FIVE, so that may play into our recreational shooting a bit. Stay tuned for details on these social events.
So mark your calendars and submit your training travel requests. The schedule looks awesome. I’ll see you in Scottsdale.
