Amped FIVE Update: A Lot of User Interface Improvements

Reading time: 2 min

We have just released the latest update to Amped FIVE (build 7042).

This is primarily a bug fix and user interface improvement release, but we have some new welcome additions too.

First of all, there was one small issue that a few of our users asked to improve. Whenever closing the program or the current project, the software was asking if it was needed to save or discard the current project in a way which was a bit unconventional, sometimes confusing the users and making them click on the wrong choice.

This is an example of the old style dialog, up to the previous version:old-style-dialog

And this is the new style:

new-styleIf you are a long time user, please be aware that the answers are now inverted with respect to the old version, but at least we are now reflecting what most of other software does.

There is also a small addition I want to mention. With the growing popularity of High DPI screens, it is often a problem to have the fonts of the software at a readable size. You can tweak this in the system settings, but we have also added the possibility to change the font size for the application right inside Amped FIVE.font-size

Even though there is still a lot of room for improvement in Amped FIVE (and in Windows in general) for the support of High DPI screens, this is a first step in this direction.
