Clarification of urban videosurveillance

Quite often urban surveillance systems don’t lead the image quality you expected while doing the project of the system. Most common issues are due to:

  • too high compression during transmission or storage
  • bad weather or low light conditions
  • speed and position of subjects with respect to the camera
In the last years we have see an improvement in the overall quality of  the footage, but it is never enough and we always want to get more information on the crime scene. Even Megapixel or HD video may not be enough, for example if the scene is very dark or the subject is far away from the camera.
The good news is that FIVE,  our software for the clarification of videos for investigative applications, works better if the quality is higher. Continue reading
